Skincare Essentials!

In this review am going to share with you my everyday skincare routine, and all the skincare essentials that you need to get a perfect looking healthy skin. It's extremely important to adjust your skincare routine two times a year, one for summer when your skin produces more oil and in winter when your skin is super dry. Also, you have to understand you skin type whether it's oily, dry, normal, or combination. and get your skincare products accordingly. No matter what is the brand or how good it is, it will not work for your if it's not formulated specifically for your skin type. I have a normal to combination skin since I have dry cheeks and oily t-zone.

Step 1: Cleanse

You have to cleanse your skin two times a day with a face cleanser, and below are many cleansers that I've tried and highly recommend:

- Bioscreen Purifying Cleansing Gel: This cleanser is the best among the ones that I've tried. It worked perfectly for me for the last few months. Although this brand sounds unfamiliar, but after trying their cleanser, I totally recommend buying it if you have a combination skin like me.

- Avène Gentle Milk Cleanser: As the name implies, it gives you the feeling that you are cleansing your face with milk, it is very good though It didn't work for my skin type since the milk is formulated for extremely dry skin.

- Avène extremely gentle Cleanser: this is a non-rinse formula that sounds a little bit weird but once I've tried it I loved the soft feeling it gives my skin. I use it after the Bioscreen cleanser to make sure that all the makeup and dirt was removed as it gives a nice tacky feeling to the skin! Price: BD8 Rating: 4/5

-  Clean & Clear Morning Energy Cleanser: This is a great everyday cleanser and very affordable one! It has small bids that exfoliates the skin gently.

Price: BD3 Rating: 4/5

- Cleanser Brands that didn't work for me: Lancome, Garnier, Neutrogena, Himalaya

Step 2: Tone

After you cleanse your skin, it's the time to use a toner with a cotton ball to remove all dead skin.

Till the moment I don't recommend a specific brand, but I recommend searching for a gentle toner for skin, I tried Clinique toner before a couple of months but it irritated the skin and cause red patches. So I switched no Nivea which is basically does nothing but removes all the dust and makeup resedue.

Step 3: Moisturize  

This is the most important step in my opinion, you need to moisturize your skin every single day to prevent wrinkles, dryness, acne, etc. Some people might think that we don’t need a moisturizer every day, or in the summer because the skin will get greasy, this is completely wrong as if you don't moisturize the skin properly every day, the skin will produce its own oil to moisturize the skin, which Isn't very appealing. I've tried many moisturizers out there until I am happy and stick to a couple of moisturizers which Is basically nothing but gentle and affordable.

- Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream: By far this is the best moisturizer I've ever tried, it's very gentle on the skin, and makes a good primer to apply before makeup to provide a sort of barrier between your skin and the makeup.

- Oilatum Natural Face Repair Cream: When i ran out of Citaphil, this is a cheaper and a very good alternative to it, as it's aimed to sensitive skin. Although it's slightly more greasy than Citalphil moisturizer, I really love it and I still switch between the two every time. Definitely good value for money!

- QV Cream: Same as the two cleansers, very gentle for the skin, great consistency, and lasts for ages!

Moisturizers Brands that didn't work for me: Clinique, Shiseido, YSL

Don't forget to exfoliate once a week to refresh and energize the skin! I recommend St. Ives face scrub, or you can make your own, mix a tea spoon of sugar with a tea spoon of olive oil and add few drops of honey, and there you have it! An excellent homemade face & body scrub.

Shazam (Music Identifying App)

In the past when we used to listen to any music for he first time we had limited options of asking friends by reminding them with some of the lyrics and getting to know the song or we used to browse those lyrics by using our computers or laptops. Past is Past now.... we are in the age of Smart devices .. Most of us are having Smart phones in our hands so now we have more options other than browsing the lyrics .We can identify the tune or music by using an App which is having a database of  millions of tracks and Tv shows.

The App i am talking about is "Shazam"  is  the  closest a cell phone can come to magic Shazam which launched in the United Kingdom in 2002 as a call-in service and became widely known worldwide when it first t hit the iPhone—solves the dilemma in a few clicks. Press a button on your phone, and in seconds you'll get the artist and song title. It's one of the most useful thing you can do with your phone.

Shazam App works on all smart devices (Iphone, Ipad,Ipod,Samsung,Nokia,Blackberry etc). You Just need to download this app from the Apple store or Google play.

HOW DOES SHAZAM WORK?

• Let's say you are in a shop and you like the music you're hearing. Start the app and tap the Shazam button.
  • A digital fingerprint of the audio is created and, within seconds, matched against Shazam's database of millions of tracks and TV shows.
    • You are then given the name of the track and the artist and information such as lyrics, video, artist biography, concert tickets and recommended tracks. We also let you buy or listen to the song using one of our partners services.

Online Photo Editors !

Yes ! as the title says, now you can access photoshop online ! 
what's great about it ? well sometimes you just don't  want to use paint to edit your photos ! It's great for when you aren't using your personal computer or laptop and still want quality images, 

The first website is developed by Adobe themselves so functionality is guaranteed ! it provides a simpler editor with basic tools only.

How to use it :

The New York Coffee – The Walk Branch

I got to know about the NYC’s the walk branch through a pamphlet that came to my house. Being a regular customer of the NYC Hamala,I was naturally very excited  to visit this branch for this was near to my house and it got opened up in a place which beholds a worthy reputation. I am glad to say that I wasn’t disappointed. This NYC branch was everything that I had expected and much more. From its interior (Which is splendid) to its services, everything about the place doesn’t disappoint you. They added a whole new line of food and tried to combine your typical coffee shop with a restaurant of good standard. If I was to pick my most favorite drink, it’d be "Kona Mocha Frappe"

Ever since I have visited, I have been a regular customer. I would recommend this place to whoever wants to have a good time.The best part of this place is that they are having offers for every single day.They have special offers for weekends and the prices are not as high as one would expect after looking at the location and the interior of the place from outside

The New York Coffee-The Walk Riffa branch is 24 Hours. This is one great thing about such an amazing place to sit,relax and study for those who love to study late night at coffee shops. Mostly their customers are university students at midnight time. I personally recommend "NYC" as i study there too.

· Why do you need a sunscreen?

You might think that all those years you've never tried sunscreen because you don't need it at all and nothing seems wrong. However, the side effects of not using sunscreen everyday are huge but going to be noticeable only in the long-run. Sunscreen protects the skin from discoloration or sun burns. And perhaps the biggest advantage of sunscreen that it is proved to slows the aging process for women and fines the wrinkles as well as it helps prevent two types of skin cancer.

· Does it need to be expensive to be good?

When It comes to skincare products, they don't need to be from high-end brands in order to be effective. The main thing I look for when I shop for a skincare item is whether it's gentle on the skin or not.

· Why Avène sunscreen?

I've tried many sunscreens out there in the market from different brands, such as Bioderma, Neutrogena, and Nevia, and QV. Some of them worked just fine, and some of them irritated my skin and left a white cast on my face because of the high SPF. Among all the list I've tried, Avène sunscreen was my superhero product that became to me an everyday essential!

Avène sunscreen is a water resistant lotion that has an SPF50+ which is very good for Bahrain's climate, and contains both UVA and UVA protection. It does not make your face greasy at all and feels so soft on the skin. Also, it works perfect as a primer for your makeup!

The packaging looks fresh and nice, it's small so you can through it in your bag easily and reapply every two or four hours. You can find it in all pharmacies in Bahrain for BD12, I got mine from Boots Pharmacy and it definitely worth the price!

Words Bookstorecafe in Palm Square (Budaiya Avenue) is a mix of amazing ideas in one place, it's a bookstore and cafe at the same time. Also, it's suitable for students and business people to study or meet there because of calm environment.

It's a bank of knowledge for interested people, I had been visit this wonderful place once before in Feb. in current year 2014 and until now I go there each week two to three times because I like it so much. I go there to study and drink their coffee (there prices range between 1 BD to 1.900 BD which is cheaper comparing to the special taste and delicious cakes), it's a small space with suitable lights and air atmosphere and they have two floors, the first floor for magazines and cookbooks,in addition to cafe and tables indoor and outdoor. They provide in the upstairs more sections of books (novels for all ages, travel, business, body and mind,art,fashion,..etc) and the important thing that they make categorized section especially for children. Their prices of books around 4 BD to 20 BD which is seem good for books that are available at any time.However, I saw some customers ordered books out of stock or new and they bring these books for them but they took long period because they purchase big quantity not single book.

Anyway,when I go there I feel convenience and ready to study, because they have so calm and nice place.Also, they have a best deal with their customers. If you search for a place to read or study or even meet and drink coffee in a quite place, I encourage you to visit Words..Bookstorecafe and believe me you will feel relax and you will find what you are looking for, especially novel obsession people and book readers, but note that in the weekends it is so busy and crowded so I advise you to go at the rest of days.
